Bladder CancerAfter finding blood in the urine, I went to a Urologist and has a systoscopy exam. She found a large tumor in the bladder, extending from the left ureter opening to the prostate area. She removed as much as she could, but said that it was stage 4, and was blocking the left kidney.

Re: Bladder CancerHi,
I'm sorry for your recent diagnosis. My husband also has Bladder Cancer. He is 42yrs old and now stage T3a. While waiting for an appt. with an oncologist, he has recieved 4 weeks of IV treatments (2 per week) from a Naturalpath Dr. which seem to make him have less symptoms and more energy. BCG and two clinical trial treatments have been unsuccessful. He was diagnosed 2yrs ago. In doing research I read about Insuline Potentiated Therapy which is said to make chemo more effective without the severe side effects. It can shrink tumors with lower doses of chemo drugs. Which may be benifitial for you for palitive treatment. You may want to look into it. My husband does not want to have his bladder removed. He is going to try traditional chemo since his general health is good. We will have been married 1 yr on Sept. 1st. I hope we can stop it from progressing. I hope you receive all the care you need.
Re: Bladder CancerThe best "home remedy" anyone can recommend is to follow the doctors' orders and get the best nutrition possible, all the needed rest and avoid stress. All the things you would recommend to anyone with a major illness. Of course it never hurts to do other research on holistic alternatives but I would never recommend not taking the chemo when it comes to bladder cancer. My next-door neighbor (a wonderful WWII veteran whom I've known my entire life) was diagnosed at least ten years ago and although he's had some ups and downs he's still here.
