I was diagnosed with a grade 3/4 astrocytoma at the age of 26 and it was the prognosis of the doctors I had a less than 5% probability of survival and probably would not live six months. I was operated on twice, as the cancer came back, and received aggressive radiation and chemotherapy treatments. I will be 56 years old this year and have lived 30 years longer than my doctors expected. My doctor refers to me as his “miracle” patient.

Thank you so so much for sharing your story. My husband is 33 and was just diagnosed with a level two astrocytoma, they could not remove the entire tumor during surgery, and he will begin radiation soon. Your story is an inspiration to us, me and our whole family. Many blessings.
