We are working on a project and need a very unusual subject to photograph.This past week the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force raised the recommended age for the commencement of yearly mammograms from 40 years old to 50 years old. We need to photograph a woman between the ages of 40 & 50 who has gone through a mastectomy - preferably a radical mastectomy (the more recent the better). As I write, the insurance companies are meeting with hospitals "renegotiating" - saying that in the very near future they will not cover mammograms until a woman reaches age 50! The subject of this photo would be photographed (tastefully) from the neck down to her midriff and the woman being photographed will not be identified - ever. The subject must be willing to sign a release allowing use of the photo. The first use will be an e-mailer followed by billboards pleading the case for continued coverage of mammograms from age 40 and attempt to turn the tide of this ugly and discriminatory recommendation, This photo shoot pays $200.00.
