the tickness of the walls of uterus

Post a new topicby pattia on Sat Sep 13, 2008 9:19 pm

I have been having the signs and symptoms of (I stopped bleeding in march 2008 then in august i started to bleed again, now just spotting , pelivc pain, tenderness to touch that area, pain or a pressure pain when I pee, white discharge) uterine cancer. I'm set up to a D+c with a biopsy in a week. My question i've been trying to get answered is how thick are the walls of the uterus to be. 3 weeks ago my wall measured 7 mm now they measure 7.8mm. this seems to me that it has thickined fast. My next question is the thicking of the walls a good measure that it is cancer. How long will it take for the biopsy to come back. My risk factors are 55, started at 9 yrs, grandmother died of colon cancer, sister had precancer in the uterus, my daughter had precancer cells removed for her uterus.

I believed what they measured was the thickness of the endometrial band. I'm not certain but I think the max on that 7mm you may want to look up endometrial band to see. I wish you luck with your tests. I'm in the same boat. I don't mean to offend you but I'll pray for you.
