Preliminary tests “negative”

My husband (63) went on a fishing trip January 09 and came back complaining of nausea and pain in his stomach. We tried all sorts of dietary changes and in May did the first scope procedure which revealed an ulcer. The biopsies over the next few procedures came back negative but the gastro doctor just had this feeling something was not right and kept moving forward.
