Pancriatic cancer

Post a new topicby bporter on Fri Jan 18, 2008 11:51 pm

My mom is 67 years old and was just diagnosed with a large mass on her pancreas. This was on 1-9-08 (Wed). I'm a little frustrated with the medical staff because she will have to wait until 2-4-08 for a biopsy. The Doctor said he believed it to be cancerous. In the mean time my mother is on heavy narcotics to relieve the pain. Why would the Doctor wait so long and not make this a priority case, being he thinks the large mass is cancerous????
